Today, comics is one of the very few forms of mass communication in which individual voices still have a chance to be heard.

I lived with them in my studio in New York. And of course if I were doing that book today or even ten years, fifteen years later, I would have gone to where the wild ducks were and where I could study them - I would have gone to the country somewhere.

I'm often called an old-fashioned modernist. But the modernists had the absurd idea that architecture could heal the world. That's impossible. And today nobody expects architects to have these grand visions any more.

I definitely wanted this win today and I don't want anybody to talk about my nerves anymore.

But I'm acutely aware that the possibility of fraud is even more prevalent in today's world because of the Internet and cell phones and the opportunity for instant communication with strangers.

We need to show that we know and understand and can reflect today's Britain. Today we don't.

We should be the natural home for younger voters. But today we're not. Because too often we sound like people who just don't like contemporary Britain.
